Okay, so I have been hitting the subject of identity a lot lately. It is because the way we see ourselves is at the core to how we view everything else. We seek to identify with this world because this is where we are and what we see and all we physically know. If we attach ourselves to anything of this world and allow ourselves to be labeled and characterized by human standards based on just a characteristic of our lives, personality, skin color, etc., we allow a minute piece of our being to become a hook that holds us to this world.
Instead we must realize that though one part of us may be like anothers causing a "group" to form, we are still individuals created in the image of God and therefore the possibilities for our lives are limitless.
What I am trying to say is that you may be in a denominational group, a social class, a minority, a majority, educated, uneducated, pretty, ugly, or any other "group" you may fit into. That group may have understood boundaries for what their life is expected to become; limitations based on facts, figures, professional predictions, doctors reports, historical documentation and other really authoritative stuff, but that means nothing to God. More than that, the God I know seems to love to go against all that human wisdom stuff. Start believing that God will turn your impossibilities into realities for you. Broaden your vision and ask God to show you your TRUE IDENTITY! |
