My Crumbly Little Life Shack PDF Print E-mail

Wow...God starts really showing up sometimes when you are at that place where you have run out of plans and ideas.  I've built an empire in my mind, full of creativity and beauty and fame and fortune.  You know all those things that I could dream that my life could become.  Then there are all the plans, investments, time involved in building my great kingdom where I rule and reign (with God at my side, of course, and also submitting to my husband Smile ).  It only sounds stupid when it is typed out and read aloud, while I am dreaming it, it sounds perfect.

Well, I started building, and it is really starting just to look like a shack.  Sometimes others look at it and think it is incredible, but then I compare it to what I see when I am in the presence of God and my ideas to just begin to look lame.  I see this shack is crumbling, and thank God it is.  Of course it hurts and it feels like time has been wasted, but it is better to find out now than later.  I don't think I want to hold onto it any longer, I just want the land cleared so the building can be started over by God, the True Foundation and the Master Builder.

It's time to pull out the sledgehammer.

Ecc. 1: 2-3

“Meaningless! Meaningless!”
says the Teacher.
“Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless.”
What does man gain from all his labor
at which he toils under the sun?
